*Make sure to remind the kiddos that they can ONLY draw what they have written in the brainstorm. I like to hand these back out to the class and just by reading the descriptions in the writing, see if we can figure out which snowman it is. I have also hung them up in the classroom and asked students to read their final draft snowman stories aloud to the class and see if we can guess which snowman is theirs.

They are learning/reviewing/practicing their knowledge of verbs, nouns, adjectives, plural and proper nouns etc. all while creating fun and silly stories. My students can't wait to write and then share these stories.
