We have been working on recognizing and using Nouns, Verbs, and Adjectives in a sentence or our writing. It's not always as easy as it sounds!!! I always forget when we start these activities just how long it takes for students to remember and retain the differences between a Verb and Adjective (for instance). My kiddos love these little scavenger hunt games I make. So.... I made yet another for our Christmas celebration/party. Hope you can use it. Sorry, there isn't a picture. Check it out on my TPT store.

I've been working on truly meaningful interactive activities that I can do with my students each day. I want them to have strong number sense. I love doing wipe off math binders for daily math wall and vocabulary time. It allows me to get a quick check of student work, they can quickly fix mistakes and we don't use paper every day. Win! Win! I place these pages in plastic sleeves and throw them in a binder (with other things we use daily). Hope you can use them. I add concepts we are working on as we go that I think they need more review on.
There are 4 pages included in this download. I created this product to save on "copies", but also, in case we are distance learning next year. I have included the Power Point file as well as a PDF. There are blank slides for each season if you want to add your own topic. Take a look!!!
As we all work to help our students in a very difficult time, I try and remember the age of my students. They are young and still just want to have fun ;) This is simple activity that you can do with your kiddos. I first read Me on a Map and/or Mapping Penny's World. This is a whole group activity we did on Zoom.
Make up your own directions or use the ones I created. The file contains a map I made, Directions for the teacher/parents to read to the students, a blank map for students to create, and a follow up writing activity. |
