If you would like to get these for your students they are free at my TPT store. This is only one of three types.
In order to spark students interest in writing, I am often thinking of ways we can connect art and creativity into the writing process. After many days sitting in front of Pinterest, a few years ago, I decided to start doing this activity with my students. It is a project that starts at home and continues in class. They turkeys turned out great. We also read the Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving and Turkey Trouble.
The kids had a great time making these. Once I read the directions and we created our Glyphs, we started in on our Data Collection and Graphing. Here is how they turned out and the directions/data collection page.
any activities that we are working on in class involve reading and reading comprehension using text based evidence. The following forms were designed to help guide students as they read and write about the text. We are going to follow up our reading with writing about the life of the Pilgrims. The first form is used in our reading groups. The second form is used by the students after we read and brainstorm information about how the Pilgrims lived. We will then write our final draft.
